February 27th, 2010 - The Sacrifice of Praise

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. – Hebrews 13:15

No doubt there are multiple meanings to this verse.  One of those meanings is that we offer the sacrifice of praise by praising the Lord when we don’t feel like it.

During this recent time of tragedy in my family, there have been many times when the last thing I have felt like doing was praising the Lord.  However, it is in these times that we determine that we will sacrifice our feelings and praise God, no matter what is going on. 

As we offer the sacrifice of praise, we find ourselves seeing things more from God’s perspective than from our own.  We also find that our trust in God increases, and we find ourselves drawn deeper into His presence.

So, whatever you’re going through right now, determine to praise God.  He is still God; He has not changed, nor will He change, and He loves you, no matter what you’ve done or how you feel.

February 27th, 2010 - Revival Still Planned for March

I will still be preaching at a revival for the Interdenominational Gospel Mission in Alexandria, IN, March 18-20.  After praying about whether to hold the revival so close to my son’s death, I definitely sensed that the Lord wanted me to preach these services.  So be praying for this revival, and, if you’re in the Alexandria, IN, area, plan to attend one or more of our services. 

February 27th, 2010 - Tragedy In The Bundy Family

If you are a regular visitor to this site, you will notice that nothing has been posted for quite some time.  In part, this is due to a tragedy that hit our family.

On February 12, my youngest son, Ben, suffered an aneurism in the brain, and, on February 17, after brain surgery and four and a half days in ICU, he went to be with the Lord.  His prayer service and funeral were held last weekend.

While we miss Ben greatly, the ministry will continue, and I am resuming mord regular posts on this site.  Our family continues to appreciate your prayers at this time.  By God’s grace, and through faith in the power of the Holy Spirit within us, we will make it!

February 3rd, 2010 - Ministry at IVCFMinistry at IVCF

We had a wonderful time with the Lord last night at DSU’s chapter of Intervarsity. God’s presence was there, and the worship was awesome.

February 2nd, 2010 - Small Group Bible Study

My wife Peggy and I are hosting a small group Bible study for our church, Living Hope Wesleyan Church.  The Bible study is held on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM in our home.  We are beginning a study of the Minor Prophets, studying the book of Obadiah this week.

February 2nd, 2010 - God Is Faithful

I have wonderful news for you today.  No matter what you are going through, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you can count on this:  GOD IS FAITHFUL!

He may not work things out the way we wannt Him to, but He is always faithful.  He is loving and merciful to us, no matter how often we blow it.  HE IS FAITHFUL!

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23

February 2nd, 2010 - Early February Update

I had the privilege of preaching at West Center Street Baptist Church here in Madison on January 27.  I spoke about the love of God, and, as always, the Holy Spirit anointed the message.

I am speaking to the Dakota State University chapter of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at 7:00 this evening.  The title of the message is “What Would Christians Dare To Do”.  For those of you in the Madison area, Intervarsity meets at 7:00 PM in the basement of the trojan Center on the DSU Campus.
