March 6th, 2010 - God is Good – ALL THE TIME

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.  His love endures forever. – Psalm 136:1

How many times have we made the statement, “God is good – all the time”?  This is a statement that is so easy to make when all is going well in our lives.  When the bills are paid, we have a good job, and everybody is healthy, we can shout from the mountaintop, “God is good – all the time!”

But what about when things aren’t going well in our lives?  Can we still make this statement?

The answer is, “Definitely!”  The Word of God is clear – He is good!  The fact that He is good means that He is always good – not just sometimes (wehn we are blessed).  God is good, even when our lives seem to crumble beneath us.  Even when we barely have enough money to make it, when we lose a job, when we aren’t feeling well, even when we lose the ones close to us – God is good – all the time!

So rejoice in this truth today!  And, be in the Lord’s house on Sunday to praise Him for His goodness.
